The Gardens of Heligan

If you have a passion for gardens, you cannot leave Cornwall without visiting the Lost Gardens of Heligan. This magical garden with its romantic history might never have been rediscovered had it not been for the hand of fate and co-incidence interrupting its 40-year "sleep" just over a decade ago. The rediscovery and restoration of Heligan was achieved only by the vision and dedication of Tim and Candy Smit, John Nelson and Philip McMillan Browse along with an enthusiastic army of volunteers and experts alike, all equally passionate in their quest to bring Heligan back to life.

Today, Heligan has once again been re-established as a working garden with a vision for the future. The ultimate goal is to make Heligan a viable, sustainable entity and one of the latest challenges has been the set-up of Heligan Home Farm and Wildlife projects.

Heligan is constantly evolving and growing and this is what makes it so fascinating. There is always something new to see and you can keep tabs via the link to the Heligan website.
