The Camel Trail

Walking and Cycling Trail alonside the river Camel running from Bodmin to Padstow via Wadebridge

The Camel Trail covers a total of 17 miles. It starts at one end from Bodmin, passing through Wadebridge and ending in Padstow. As well as linking the three towns - a distance of some 11 miles, it also branches off to Poley's Bridge on the edge of Bodmin Moor. The Camel Trail passes through beautiful countryside and as much of the route uses the old railway track, the terrain is quite level. This is exceedingly rare in Cornwall! The Camel Trail is very popular with cyclists but being level, it is also quite suitable for wheelchairs, prams, buggies etc.

There are several Bike Hire Companies, Tea Rooms open during the season and many seats and picnic tables to stop at en-route.
