Beeches

Beeches is Bedknobs' most spacious double room and fully en-suite. Sleeping arrangements are flexible - choose between a Super Kingsize bed or two (extra long) Twin beds. Soft towels and flannels are provided. There is generous wardrobe and drawer space and comfortable seating includes a chaise longue on which to relax after a hard days holidaying - or work!

Beeches' generous bathroom with 'period' style suite and fittings in white and chrome is equipped with an authentic Airbath and super-power shower.

The Airbath offers the ultimate in bathing luxury and you can choose whether to gently relax in low speed bubbles or refresh the muscles with a more vibrant aqua-massage - both with, or without hot air injection and underwater lights! Or, you could just opt for a conventional bath.

Beeches is south-west facing and from your window you see the four big Beech Trees which border Polgwyn's garden, one of which is over 300 years old.

Laurel

Laurel is a generous double room with en-suite facilities and plenty of storage and comfortable seating. Its green and yellow décor combining natural woods and natural colours gives Laurel a truly organic feel making it a perfect room for relaxation after a long day exploring all corners of Cornwall.

The bed is exceedingly comfortable and 6'4" (1.93m) long. Do note the footboard could be a little restricting if you are very tall. Perhaps opt for Beeches with its extra long bed?

Laurel bathroom is modern in style with bath and power shower, basin and WC.

Laurel is south-west facing and from the window you will see Rhododendrons, Beech Trees, Yew and of course … some Laurel!

Yew

Yew is a comfortable double room with its own exclusively private bathroom just 2 steps away and offers great value for money. The bed is French antique and the interior-sprung hand-made mattress guarantees a restful night's sleep.

The large bathroom offers the luxury of a theraputic spa bath and power shower. Please note that the 'bubbles' in the spa bath are purely optional.

The view from Yew is very green. Looking out over the small glass conservatory, you will see Laurel, Holly, Lilac, a Magnolia Grandiflora, the Grotto and … a Yew!

Our prices are for two people sharing a double room or single occupancy where indicated and include a choice of a full English or a lighter Continental-style breakfast.

Please add a £5.00 GBP supplement per person for bookings of one night only.

Booking at Bedknobs

Deposits

For bookings of up to a week we ask for payment of one night by way of a deposit to confirm the booking. A larger deposit will be required for longer bookings. The balance is then payable on departure at the end of your stay.

Payment

We accept payment by cheque in £ Sterling (GBP) or the following credit/debit cards. We prefer payment by debit card if possible.

Children

We are happy to take bookings including children of 12 years and over, but we do not have a family room available.

Smoking

Bedknobs has always been strictly a non-smoking establishment, however we do not have a problem if you would like to smoke in the garden.

Indoor Footwear

We do ask our guests to bring indoor shoes or slippers to wear as most of our carpets are very light in colour. Thank you for your understanding.

Pets

We would also mention that Polgwyn, the home of Bedknobs, is also home to our three cats - Mischief, Minnie Minx and Mouse - so regret that we cannot accommodate any other four-legged friends.

Sadly Millie, our fourth cat, is no longer with us and is now pushing up the cat-mint.
